Mexico: Part Two

We had awesome meals at Grand Velas!  There were 3 different fancy restaurants that were "family friendly."  One was Asian, one was Italian and one was Mexican.  They were all awesome and we tried some interesting flavors we have never had before!  It was an all inclusive resort so we could order anything off the menu!  At lunch we would eat at the swim-up bar or Azul, the Poolside restaurant.  They had tons of different healthy fresh seafood options, sushi, guacamole, lamb and shrimp kabobs, ceviches, and so much more.  Every morning we ordered breakfast to be delivered to our room.

When we went out for dinner at night, the girls loved to get dressed up and have their hair done with flowers.  They got lots of attention from the Mexican men as they were called "princesses" by everyone.

Here are some of our "eating out" pictures...

Mexico: Part One

We just got back from Playa del Carmen, late on Monday night.  It was one of our favorite places we have been and we hope to go back next year.  It was truly a vacation as it was an all inclusive 5 star resort.  The kids (and us) loved the swim up bar.  They would order chocolate milk with whipped cream and cherries numerous times per day while Daddy and I enjoyed the mojito's!  The restaurants were all gorgeously decorated and the food was fresh, healthy and amazing!  We had seafood overload and I was in heaven with it!  Our room had it's own plunge pool outside that was 100% private and it looked out to the beach.  There was plenty of room for all of us!  I took over 500 photos that I am working on but will upload as I can.  Here is the first round.  We miss you Mexico!

Lukey learned how to swim on his own and jump in the pool by himself on the trip!

Sydney was so good and easy the whole trip this year, especially compared to Bahamas last year.  She even slept on the cabana while we were there a few of the days.  This is one of my favorite photos of her from the pool.

Easter 2013

This year Easter day was absolutely perfect!  The kids were all really into collecting eggs and the weather was about 72 degrees and sunny.  We hung outside all day.  The girls played with our neighbor, Talia and played with the bubbles.  The Bunny hid many eggs in our backyard.  Luke and Ava received stuffed animal husky dogs and Sydney got a bunny.

On Saturday, we walked to the Bothell Easter Egg Hunt and met our friends there.  Afterwards, we bought a charcoal grill and invited our friends over for an impromptu BBQ.  We had a great time and so did the kids!

Easter Morning...

Peeps on a stick!  A big hit with the girls!
