Disney world

We were at Disney a week ago today. Nana had Sydney and was she a handful! I remember Ava was the same way at 10 and a 1/2 months. So Steve, Luke, Ava and I went to Disney. The kids were tired to start the day because they had a short night sleep. Miss Ava and Luke shared a room in our condo so Ava liked to chat and keep Luke up. We rode the monorail into the park and immediately walked to the castle in the Magic Kingdom. Luke and Ava have been dying to see it as they see it in the beginning of all of the Disney movies they watch. There was a show going on as we walked up with the princesses and Mickey and Minnie. Everything is so well done there...Ava couldn't take her eyes off the show. There were fireworks and everything. Luke was more interested in the butterfly fluttering around us. We only had time to do 3 rides before the kids expired. they loved it's a small world! We also went on the Buzz ride and Winnie the Poo. They bought lots of toys and we left the park. It truly was a magical day.... a magical day we may wait about 4 more years to do again when the kids are older and appreciate it more.

I'm back....

it has been a heck of a month for us. 3 out of 5 of us got a stomach bug that seemed to hit me the worst. I still have a couple health issues we are trying to get a diagnosis for but at least I have my energy back. I can think of a worse feeling as being so sick that you physically can't take care of your children. Thank goodness for good friends, baby sitters neighbors and Pop Pop flying in to help us out. We were supposed to leave for Orlando on the 11th of May but since Ava and I were sick we had to push our trip back a couple days. And then Nana Had pneumonia so we didn't even get to see her more than a few days but at least we did. Uncle Doug was able to join us for a few days as well.

So, that is what has held me up for the past month. Starting now, the blog will continue again :).

Take me out to the ball game...

\
I am still trying to shake being sick.  I can't catch a break.  Despite feeling yucky, we all went to the Baseball game yesterday.  It was our birhday present to Steve.  We had 4th row seats.  Neither Steve nor I had ever sat so close.  The baseball players were giving autographs before the game started and there were warnings posted on the chair to stay abreast to the game since we were sitting in foul ball territiory.  Unfortunately, we only spent about 20 minutes in our seats.  We moved back to where there was more room for all 5 of us.  I was also kind of scared the ball would hit one of my little precious babies. We had fun... stayed till about the 5th inning.  What a wonderful way to celebrate Mother's Day... I have the best kids and husband in the world.

Fashion Batman

Today I caught Ava pretend playing with Batman and Joker... she made the Joker say, "Batman, I like your shoes."  They went back and forth with each other talking about their outfits.

Holy Seperation Anxiety!

Baby Sydney has it!  Ava had it at about the same age.  Not easy but part part of her development.  She just hates to be left alone, whether it be me, Steve or the babysitter leaving the room.

Popsicles

Since Luke was sick this week and last, I bought him Superhero popsicles in an effort to keep him hydrated. He wanted Ava to come with him so they could sit down and eat their popsicles together.  I think we will be eating lots of popsicles in Florida on our trip... it is going to be so hot there.  We can't wait!!!

A helluva week...

The past week has not been good.  I have had a literal pain in my neck for a few weeks now that I thought I should get checked out last week.  3 doctor visits and a whole lot of back, neck and shoulder pain... they don't know what it is.  I am back tomorrow to try and get some answers.  Poor Luke has had the stomach flu since last Thursday.  He has barely eaten or drank the last 4 days and is severely dehydrated.  He is getting an IV with Daddy at the hospital as we speak.  Please pray that our Bubbie makes a speedy recovery.  Thank goodness for amazing babysitters, neighbors and friends right now.
