More House Photos...

They have been working on our house late every night. I snuck over there and took some photos.  Cabinets and built ins are being installed.  Moldings are being installed and our front doors were delivered along with the transom.  Here is the latest...

House Update

This is our house as of a week ago.  They have painted more since then.  They still need to paint our garage doors the body color of the house and add our black shutters and black leaded glass door which is due to arrive soon!  I really like the interior conmore doors a lot!  On the first level they will be stained and on the second level they are painted white.  They installed tile last week and will continue to through the week.  Cabinets and built-ins will be installed next.  Our closing date is my Birthday, January 11th!   Happy Birthday to me!!!

We miss our Nana...

We had so much fun with our Nana!  She spoiled all of us with her amazing meals, doing our laundry, helping Mommy keep the house clean and lots of LOVE.  The list could go on and on! We had so much fun with her here and we miss her so much!

Berry picking time...

When Nana was visiting we took Luke and Ava up to the Girl's preschool and picked some blackberries.  A few times, Mommy got stuck in the thorns but Nana saved me!  We collected enough to make a berry cobbler.  Luke had been craving it for  a while.  Before we made it he had been asking me why I haven't made the "jelly thing with ice cream."  It took me a few minutes to figure out what he was talking about.

Haunted House

The kids, Nana and I had a fun time decorating this halloween haunted house.  Luke especially has been so excited about halloween he has been telling me it is time to start the season.  He also asks, "Why is it taking so long to be Halloween."

The kids both came home with this artwork last week.  Done at different schools when they not together.  I thought it was pretty funny that they did almost the same exact thing.

First 3D Movie... Finding Nemo

Steve and I took luke and Ava to see their first (and Mommy's first) 3D movie.   Nemo was rereleased and we all thoroughly enjoyed or $45 movie :O

American Girl Jewel!

Ava received an early birthday present on Thursday!  Nana Lass let her pick out her very own American Girl Doll that looks just like her!  She also bought her the gymnastics outfit she wanted!  Ava has been wanting an American Girl doll ever since she visited her cousins, Madelyn and Olivia in June.  Every day since then she has told me that she wants one!  Well she got her wish and has been playing with her non-stop!  Her name is Jewel!

House Update ~ Stone and Granite

This week they are working on the masonry at our home.  It was very exciting to drive by yesterday and see the progress.  The paint is kind of a stormy dark gray with a little hint of green and that has not yet been applied.  We also went and picked out our granite.  Good thing we did because the kitchen Island granite we chose looked a lot different due to the variation in the rock.  We are choosing the one in the picture below instead.

The house is insulated and this week they are putting up the sheetrock.  They started locking the door so it may not be too easy to get in there moving forward.
